The Material Structure Of Artificial Football Grass

Artificial Football Grass consists of 3 layers of materials:

1. The base layer is composed of a rammed soil layer, a crushed stone layer, and an asphalt or concrete layer. The base layer is required to be solid, non-deformable, smooth, and impermeable, that is, a general concrete site. Due to the large area of the hockey field, the base layer must be properly handled during construction to prevent subsidence. If a concrete layer is laid, an expansion joint should be cut after the concrete is cured to prevent thermal expansion deformation and cracks.

2. Above the base layer is a buffer layer, usually composed of rubber or foam. The rubber has moderate elasticity and a thickness of 3~5mm. The cost of using foam plastic is low, but the elasticity is poor, the thickness is 5~10mm, the lawn is too thick, and it is easy to dent; The buffer layer should be firmly pasted on the base layer, generally with white latex or all-purpose glue.

3. The third layer, also the surface layer, is the turf layer. According to the manufactured surface shape, there is fluff turf, circular curled nylon silk turf, leaf-shaped polypropylene fiber turf, permeable turf made of nylon silk, etc. This layer must also be glued to the rubber or foam with latex. During construction, it must be fully coated with glue, and it must be pressed tightly and tightly in turn without wrinkling.
In foreign countries, there are two common types of turf layers: 1. The turf layer has thin leaf-like fibers, only 1.2-1.5mm; 2. The turf fibers are thicker, 20-24mm, and filled with quartz almost to the top of the fibers.
